Hong Kong Singer Hins Cheung Uses A Stretching Machine To Grow Taller

Stretching Machine To Grow TallerI do frequent the forums and discussion boards on the internet where people find interesting tidbits and stories of things related to height and endeavors at height increase. Something that was sort of interesting was one story linked by someone in one of the forums which showed an article written back in 2008 about this Hong Kong Singer named Hins Cheung. I’ve never been to Hong Kong or know much about the Asian entertainment scene so this is the first time I ever even knew this guy existed.

Update: This story was first published in The New Paper on July 24, 2008.

It seems that this guy who was around 27-28 back then was using some type of body stretching machine to try to increase his height. From the article which was published on Asia One News (Read the story here). I did take the liberty to clip a picture of the article in case the article or webpage is lost.

Hins Cheung

It says that the singer was around 1.73 meters tall which would translate to around 5′ 8″ which is actually not too short based on asian standards. I am not sure but I would guess that the Chinese average male height is probably around the 5′ 7″- 5′ 9″ range.

The claim made by the singer Hins Cheung was that after using this device for maybe a year or so he has managed to gain around 3 cms of height, which is slightly more than 1 inch. Of course the article claims that he diligently uses the machine every day for 30 minutes to stretch his arms and legs. I quote the guy saying the following “Now, no matter how busy my schedule gets, I make it a point to use it every day”

The name of the product is called ‘zheng gao xie dian‘ or ‘gain height shoe shop‘.{I couldn’t find anything about this device online.  Maybe it’s a translation issue and it’s actually distraction osteogenesis?  Without seeing the device it’s hard to evaluate-Tyler}

The author suggests in the article that this Chinese singer is obsessed with height. He feels uncomfortable onstage with taller male performers. That would definitely be some sort of inferiority complex. The reasoning he gives was his mother who would compare his size to his cousins when he was young. It might have caused some type of strange body dysmorphic syndrome

What I personally find very interesting is why this guy who has so much wealth, fame, and influence still have that type of issue. My personal desire to become taller was sort of some type of mental complex used as a overcompensation ego technique that I was not as intellectually gifted as I wished to be. Of course every one of us has our own little insecurities and demons to deal with.

The author of the article shows that apparently Hins is already at the “height” (great pun) of his field. This guy was a former recording studio engineer and released his album first back in 2002. Clearly he has done extremely well with many adoring female fans.

However the article revealed that he would never feel comfortable with dating a taller female. That is quite interesting. I would suggest that maybe he has issues with his own masculinity which seems to be too much connected to his size.

The end of the article reveals that he has thought about the limb lengthening surgery and would indeed go through with it if the chance presented to him. The rational was that the Chinese market was very competitive and going under the knife was a logical step for anyone trying to look better (aka become taller)

Quoted from him…

‘In competitive China, money can buy many things. If one can afford to pay for plastic surgery to make himself look better, there is no crime in it….And I agree with this view. If there’s anything that I feel needs to be changed later down the road, I would not rule out plastic surgery….In my line, it is common and almost a form of respect that even males put on makeup.'”

Of course our question to this adult man who is considering going through surgery to improve his appearance is this. Can you handle the amount of pain involved? Can you just suspend or stall an entire singer and writing career at least 8 months of your entire life to dedicate yourself to increase only the height?

Writing A WikiHow Article On The Different Techniques A Person Can Try To Increase Their Height After Epiphyseal Growth Plate Closure

For the longest time I have been trying to get more exposure for this website and get ranked higher on the Google Rankings for the subject of height increase and grow taller, or more specifically the keywords “height increase” and “grow taller”. It seems that the way the search engine Google ranks websites is through mainly how high the links are to a website. When I type in a general phrase like “How To Grow Taller” or “How to Increase My Height into google, they always show a WikiHow article “How To Grow Taller” which is annoying since me and the other height increase researchers have been putting much more work, effort, dedication, and commitment into our websites to provide the quality of content and information that would actually help a person possibly grow taller. I understand why Google does what it does, but sometimes the most popular websites are not the most useful.

I decided to make a change in how I approach the search engine ranking by writing a short article for WikiHow entitled ““. I personally feel that the article is much more useful and better informed than the superficial weak content of the top ranked article, which gives no real deep information on how to possibly make you taller.

The 14 Step Guide is a very short guide on how a person can do more research on this subject if they are really passionate and driven with this endeavor. I don’t expect that every person who wants to increase their height and have closed growth plates to go into this field doing the research because that is not possible but I would like if their can be more contributors to the cause. If they find something that is somehow related or relevant, send the article or PDF to me through the website email.

Example #1: The visitor named Matheus from Brazil who only recently started coming to the website have been tremendously helpful in showing where I am having making a mistake on the research. I plan to actually do a podcast episode to show the depth and breadth of the research he has been doing for over a year in trying to figure how to possibly regrow the growth plate cartilage.

Example #2: I would also like to thank Leon who provided a link to a study “Engineering Growing Tissues” which showed for the first time definitive proof that scientists and researchers in laboratories around the world have been successful in growing growth plates as well as bones that are exactly expanding in volume/lengthen through the same endochondral ossification process as the natural process.

Hopefully the article which is written on WikiHow will help push this website up in rankings and beat out much less helpful websites. The 4 Sites That I linked to as a reference are this website Natural Height Growth, the Make Me Taller Forum Tyler’s Height Quest blog, and the Japanese Ginza Kojima Device website.

Update 6/15/2013: I was informed by a reader today that the people at WikiHow has nominated my article to be deleted for the reason that it is not a “How-To” or instructional article. I think that it is a error on their part if they can’t see that the article is much more informative and higher quality content then what the more general article on how to grow taller it.

Personally I think it is a shame that no one is willing to accept the article since it is based on real research.

In case my article on WikiHow is deleted, I decided to put the article on here as an updated post…

How to Increase Your Height After Your Epiphyseal Growth Plate Close

edits by: NaturalHeightGrowth, Lutherus (see all)

Natural Height GrowthDesiring to be taller is something that many people wish to be. However the most common problem with this desire is that they person may already be past the natural growth stage. Their epiphyseal growth plates have closed. This means that the growth plate cartilage in their bones have disappeared from ossification. Most doctors like endocrinologists would say that one can no longer grow taller after the plates close. So how will you increase your height if your growth plates are closed.

1. The first thing to do is to make sure that your growth plates are actually completely closed. If you are 20 or older as a female, or 25 or older for a male, then you can assume with relative certainty that you don’t have any more growth plate cartilage. However, if you are younger then those ages, it would be better to first by an endocrinologist’s office to get an X-ray of your growth plates.

2. Most endocrinologist use two main ways to test for bone maturity. These are known as Tanner-Whitehouse Technique or the Greulich-Pyle method. The Greulich-Pyle requires the professional experience of the endocrinologists to determine the stage of bone maturation. There is a series of pictures of how the growth plates will look. The Tanner-Whitehouse method employs using a mathematical way of calculating the growth plates in the left hand to determine the amount of bone maturity.

3. Once the endocrinologist determines with relative certainty that your growth plates are gone, then it means that to grow in height, we must look into other, non-conventional ways to possibly increase our height

4. The one technique that will make a person increase in height is the limb-lengthening surgery method. Limb lengthening surgery is where the orthopaedic surgeon will make a corticonomy in the layer of cortical bone that surrounds the long bones of the legs of the subject. This surgery is known as distraction osteogenesis. Other names for this surgery is known as Callus Distraction or Callotasis.

5. There is currently an external method as well as an internal method. The external method involves putting the lengthened leg in a cylindrical metal fixator. The internal method involves putting a metal rod/nail into the intermedullary cavity of the long bone and having a way to turn that metal rod to make the bones longer.

6. The other option is to implant new growth plates into the subject. This method has already been shown to be successful in lab rabbits.

7. The newly created growth plates are grown in vitro in a laboratory. This method involves using the ideas of tissue engineering and stem cells. Progenitor pluripotent stem cells are taken from the subject from an area in their body. The progenitor stem cells are grown in a culture with some medium, usually calf serum, until they reach a certain concentration of chondrocytes in mediu, usually around 10^6/mL-10^7/mL.

8 They are then put into a scaffold made from another type of material, often alginate, hydrogel, etc. The scaffold is also embedded with a 2nd material, a growth factor or growth stimuli. The growth factor can be a peptide, TGF-Beta1 & 2, BMP-2 &7, IGF-1, or something similar that will stimulate the added chondrocytes to proliferate or grow.

9 Eventually the chondrocytes will multiply and excrete the components that make up the extracellular matrix of a cartilage. The growth factor stimuli is used up and the scaffold dissolves away leaving a completely new, functional growth plate cartilage ready for implantation.

10 Researchers in some university laboratories and government military research facilities have already been able to grow new growth plates as well as bones that are growing in volume/lengthening

11 The third option is to try a low success rate idea of lateral loading the epiphysis of the synovial joints that are between long bones in the limbs. This technique was first talked about by Biomedical Engineering professors from Indiana University.

12 The technique involves putting a reasonable heavy load, around 30-50 lbs on the proximal epiphysis of the bony epiphysis protrusion in the legs. The clamping is done dynamical at a frequency intermittently, around 2-4 loadings each minute. The exact location to push down is the lateral/side of the epiphysis of the lower leg bone, the tibia.

13 Another option is to use the Japanese patented device called Ginza Kojima turning table invented in Japan to increase your height. The machine involves a person getting strapped on a table that is spinning, moving up and down, and holding the lower leg in place while pulling the upper torso up just like a cervical traction machine.

14 The last option is to focus on stretching out the vertebrate and decompressing the spine to temporarily grow taller by upwards of 3-4 cms.

  • Most limb lengthening surgery is an expensive cosmetic surgery, around the $20,000-$100,000 range if one uses a USA based orthopedic surgeon. This will
  • Limb Lengthening surgery can give only about a maximum of 7-8 cms of extra bone length on average to each bone segment. The lengthening is restricted due to how much the muscles around the bones can stretch out as well as the metal fixators that are being pulled in length.
  • Recovery from Limb Lengthening Surgery takes on average from 6 months-18 months in length, including the physical therapy, etc. This does not include the annual revisits to the surgeon to make sure that the bone has reset correctly and is functionally healthy and strong enough for normal loading.

Increase Height And Grow Taller Through Bioprinting And Electrospinning

A big idea that is going around regenerative medicine circles now with the 3-D Printers that have been coming out is the idea of printing one’s own organs and body parts for use in transplantation.

The idea of bioprinting and electrospinning has been getting bigger and bigger in the last 2 years. What I am proposing in the year 2013 is that one day within the next 30 years we will be able to take a small cartilage or pluripotent stem cell sample from a person and be able to completely create a good sized growth plate completely regenerated for a person ready to be implanted.

This would result in people being able to choose to regrow again making them taller and taller.

When I typed in the phrase “Bioprinting” into Google the first result they gave me was of a company named Organovo, which has a tagline of “CHANGING THE SHAPE OF MEDICAL RESEARCH AND PRACTICE”. From their front page…

Organovo creates living, three-dimensional human tissue models for research and therapeutic applications

The flexibility of our bioprinting technology, which marries biology and engineering, and its proven application across a wide variety of cells, allows us to target many different tissues for development of human tissue models.

We are currently building a number of 3D tissue models for research and drug discovery applications, and well as working to fulfill our vision of building human tissues for surgical therapy and transplantation.

Under the Therapeutic Tissues section…

3D Human Therapeutic Tissues – At Organovo, we believe that engineered tissues will someday be a routine source of therapy for patients with damaged or diseased tissue.

Changing the Shape of Medical Practice – Organovo is working to fulfill the vision of building human tissues for advanced surgical therapy and transplantation.

Today, we are working, both internally and with select partners, to fulfill our vision of building human tissues for surgical therapy and transplantation. The flexibility of our tissue engineering technology, and its proven application across a wide variety of cells, allows us to target many different tissues. The cell source can be either allogenic or autologous (using the patient’s own cells), which could allow us to avoid transplant rejection and the need for life-long immunosuppresant drugs.

Significant science and discovery is required to develop a tissue therapy, ensure safety and efficacy through controlled clinical trials, and gain regulatory clearance as a medical device. Supplemental tissue therapies that could come in forms of tubes, patches, or organoids are a developmental possibility today. Larger replacement tissues remains a future goal; however, the insight gained through the development of supplemental tissue therapies can serve as key guideposts for the ultimate development of functional organ replacements.

The promise for tissue therapies that cure disease, with reduced risk of immune rejection, made on demand from cellular building blocks rather than waiting for a limited supply of donor tissues, is a vision we are passionate in pursuing.

I showed in a recent post that university researchers have been able to grow a growing bone with it’s epiphyseal growth plate cartilage being completely functional. This shows that by combining the fields of stem cell therapy and tissue engineering, the growth plate can be regrown using the initial stem cells, an external growth factor stimuli, and a scaffold to hold the two main parts in place ready for implantation. This company Organovo has the potential to make a real big change in the way physicians and surgeons have been practicing medicine.

Just like how the inventor Eli Whitney managed to create the idea of Interchangeable parts for machines and guns leading to the revolution of factories, specialization, systems, automation, and mass production of everything becoming one of the main causes of the Industrial Revolution, this new technology of being able to print in 3-D the tissue and organs we will need means that maybe one day humans will be looked as less as a single entitle but as a combination of organ systems which can be kept alive by just replacing the parts that go bad, old, or not working.

From the section on Bioprinted Human Tissue

Organovo’s proprietary bioprinting platform captures the unique synergistic potential of engineering and biology to enable the reproducible, automated creation of living human tissues that mimic the form and function of native tissues in the body. Our 3D bioprinted human tissues are constructed with precision from tiny building blocks made of living human cells, using a processthat translates tissue-specific geometries and cellular components into 3D designs that can be executed by an Organovo NovoGen Bioprinter™. Once built, the bioprinted tissues share many key features with native tissue, including tissue-like cellular density, presence of multiple cell types, and the development of key architectural and functional features associated with the target native tissue.

Organovo’s 3D human tissues offer many advantages over standard cell-culture platforms due to the fact that three-dimensionality is achieved without dependence on biomaterial or scaffold components that would not be found in native tissues.

We are not immortals and we are not superheros like Superman and Wolverine. Gods have bodies that don’t age or get ill. Superman has the power to be invulnerable against everything except Kyptonite. Wolverine can be hurt and injured but his body has insane cells which can heal any wound within minutes, if not seconds. Maybe one day we can develop soem type of technology, where all we have to do is take a gun with some medical light and shine it on a part of our body to solve all medical problems. Before that can come to be, the next best thing is the idea of having the ability to grow our own body parts, for fast surgery transplantations? Need a new liver, kidney, or pancreas? Let’s grow that for you in the lab?

For our situation, we don’t have any more growth plates so what do we do? We extract a little bit of cartilage and chondrocytes, and grow them into adult sized growth plate cartilages and transplant them into the leg. That means that we can start the longitudinal growth of the bones again.

Here is a video below of one of the founders of the company Gabor Forgacs who is giving a TEDTalk about his company’s technology.

For a better read on the subject of bioprinting refer to the article from a website called Explaining The Future

I would also like to the refer the reader who is mainly interested in using this technology for the cosmetic reason of potentially increasing their height this picture I found from another source/ article talking about the exploding, new hot biomedical field of 3-D Bioprinting research. Refer to the picture below. Notice that the picture on the researchers from Wake Forest University shows that they have been able to recreate the outer ear. That is cartilage. This shows that scientists have already been able to create cartilage nearly from scratch by using the bioprinting machines.

Update #2: What Have I Been Doing To Grow Taller And Become Healthier – May 1st, 2013

In the last month I have started to add new exercises and ideas into my everyday schedule to optimize my body condition.

So this has been what resulted. Since I came back to the USA, Seattle specifically I went to see a new family doctor or someone who specialized in Internal Medicine. Since this is a new doctor, they took measurements of my stats.

The metal weight scale and stadiometer device in the doctor’s office said that in my socks, with me not really trying to stand up completely straight, I was at exactly 181 cms. I noted that in the doctors office they try to be very accurate on one’s measurements. I felt the metal edge touch the skin on the top of my head. So the measured value of 181 cms is sort of expected of where I am supposed to be. This was measured around 1:00 pm in the afternoon, after I had been awake for maybe 5-6 hours, so obviously I took into consideration the fact that my body did experience some time feeling the effects of vertebral decompression.

Height: 5′ 11.26″ or 1.81 meters tall

In terms of my weight, I weighed a ridiculous 219 lbs. That is 1 lb short of 100 kgs! Since my weight fluctuates so much due to different times of the day and whether I ate or not, I will just say that I weigh maybe 3 lbs less now, discounting the fact that during the weigh in I had my jeans and large belt on.

Weight: 216 lbs or 97. 98 kgs

I was very surprised with my weight since the last time I checked, which was more than 1 year ago I had weighed around 187-189 lbs. That means that I have gained around 30 extra lbs in the last year of my life. I guess it is true that one really does have trouble keeping the weight off as one grows older.

So what was my action plan to get healthier, loss weight, gain strength, and possibly regain any lost height back?

Well, the first thing I did was that after getting multiple car parking tickets, I decided to sell my car. So in terms of course of action.

1. I sold my car which I had for over 3 years. – Went on craigslist and managed to sell it for a reasonable price to a private buyer. The transaction went relatively smoothly.

2. I bought a 21 speed Diamondback Bike from Dick’s Sporting Goods store – I have been using the bike to get around anywhere within a 5 mile radius. The hardest part about getting this multiple gear bike is figuring out how to switch gears going up hill. Since I haven’t riden a bike in almost 12 years the process was really hard, painful, but very good overall for my health.

Since I used AirBnB.com to find a place for the short term, I ended up staying with a group of people who lived on a hill. The bicycling was really hard for the first week until I learned that there was a bus that was right beside the house.

For Height Increase purposes, I looked for the bike which had the largest wheels and I pushed the seat up high so that I would be forced to stretch out my legs out when I am pedaling.

3. I bought a Seattle and the Greater Puget Sound Public Transportation Pass. These are known as Orca Cards. They seem to be good for not just the bus, but also the Tram, the Light Rail, the train ,and the ferries. As it says on the website…“ORCA is accepted on: Community Transit, Everett Transit, King County Metro Transit, Kitsap Transit, Pierce Transit, Sound Transit and Washington State Ferries.”

When I compare the cost of driving and the fact that gas seems to cost around $4.00 per gallon these days, it seems logical to choose the Bike + Public Transportation combination.

4. Just in case, there was no public transportation nearby and I had to get to places, I signed up an application for ZipCar and added the app Lyft to my iphone, which is similar to the function of Zipcar but the application process is much simpler.

5. I went to the local city Aquatic Center and bought a month or 30 day pass. – Everyday I spent around 1 hours riding the bike to the aquatic center and getting an hour of swimming.

The focus has been on stretching out the torso and doing the Butterfly Stroke. In combination, I would also add a round of stretching the back and torso twisting along with the swimming.

6. I noticed that my legs, lower back, knees, and butt area becoming very sore from so much bicycling so I found a mechanical massager that can help stimulate the muscles to relax. – I did notice that if one used the stronger massagers for a longer than average time, the vertebrae actually decompress since the muscles in the middle and lower back are not being decompressed so much. The massager that works amazingly well for me is Human Touch Swan Softouch HT-1280 Personal Massager.

As for height, I noticed that after a 20 minute application of the personal massager, the body feels looser and the vertebrate seems to decompress slightly.

7. Shaving my long hair to a very short length so that any measurements I do make will be much more accurate. I went for a very short buzz cut so now my hair is only a fraction of an inch in length. The measurements on height have been much more accurate and consistent.

So the things that I did to getting healthier and regain some lost height this months are…

  • Swimming 1 hour a day almost every day focusing on the butterfly stroke.
  • Supplementing the swimming with back stretching exercises and torso twisting.
  • Using a bicycle with elevated seats for most of my transportation needs.
  • Using a strong hand held massager to decompress vertebrae.

Results:

I did a check on my height and noticed that my morning (right out of bed) height after just 2 weeks seemed to increase by a few millimeters (2-3) when I measured in front of the mirror and drawing a line horizontally at the place of my very first measurement. However that is my morning height.

That’s all for now today.

Two Major Breakthroughs In Research Made (Big Breakthrough!)

Something that I had discovered while I was doing research on the retinoic acid in the post Endogenous Retinoic Acid Negatively Regulates Growth Plate Chondrogenesis And Longitudinal Growthwere two compounds which really got me excited in the research.

It seems that while retinoic acid inhibits longitudinal growth of the long bones, it’s antagonist known as the Retinoic Acid Receptor antagonist (aka RAC antagonist) seems to be able to actually reverse the inhibitory effects of RA. it seems to be able to make the mineralization, calcification, and chondrocyte maturation process go in reverse and turn cartilage extracellular matrix which have started to mineralize and accumulate with calcium deposits known as hydroxyapatite back to the collagenous and glycoaminoglycan filled tissue it was originally.

What makes the RAC antagonist so promising was the fact that the RA was fed to the lab rat of a single dosage orally and the effects on the growth plates and endochondral ossification became obvious after just a few days. If the RA can be taken orally, then it might be possible for the RAR antagonist to be taken orally as well.

If the RAR antagonist can indeed be taken orally, then what we have would be one of the first and only true scientifically validated compounds discovered which can actually accelerate growth in growing children. This would have huge implications for children around the world who developed stunted growth from bad nutrition. If the RAR antagonist can be separated and isolated, using chemistry devices like HPLCs, and then concentrated, we might be able to mass produce this compound element.

What is interesting is that the RAR antagonist can reverse the calcification and mineralization process so even if a person had a sliver of open growth plates left, they can start growing maybe even in a few weeks of a few millimeters.

Since the human body produces the retinoic acid and the retinoic acid receptor antagonist endogenously, it would be safe to intake orally/ ingest. It is safe for human oral consumption.

The 2nd compound which I discovered which may have evern bigger implications as I had researched in the previous post linked above is Parathyroid Hormone, PTH.

In that post, I had quoted a phrase from the study entitled “Retinoic acid induces rapid mineralization and expression of mineralization-related genes in chondrocytes.

“Mineralization was completely abolished by treatment with parathyroid hormone; this profound effect…”

It seems that the PTH has the ability to break down the calcium deposits down. In terms of general biological and medical literature, the fact that PTH can cause calcium accumulation to be resorbed back into the blood is already a very well known point.

From a webpage from Colorado State University

Parathyroid hormone accomplishes its job by stimulating at least three processes:

  • Mobilization of calcium from bone: Although the mechanisms remain obscure, a well-documented effect of parathyroid hormone is to stimulate osteoclasts to reabsorb bone mineral, liberating calcium into blood.
  • Enhancing absorption of calcium from the small intestine: Facilitating calcium absorption from the small intestine would clearly serve to elevate blood levels of calcium. Parathyroid hormone stimulates this process, but indirectly by stimulating production of the active form of vitamin D in the kidney. Vitamin D induces synthesis of a calcium-binding protein in intestinal epithelial cells that facilitates efficient absorption of calcium into blood.

Excessive secretion of parathyroid hormone is seen in two forms:

  • Primary hyperparathyroidism is the result of parathyroid gland disease, most commonly due to a parathyroid tumor (adenoma) which secretes the hormone without proper regulation. Common manifestations of this disorder are chronic elevations of blood calcium concentration (hypercalcemia), kidney stones and decalcification of bone.
  • Secondary hyperparathyroidism is the situation where disease outside of the parathyroid gland leads to excessive secretion of parathyroid hormone. A common cause of this disorder is kidney disease – if the kidneys are unable to reabsorb calcium, blood calcium levels will fall, stimulating continual secretion of parathyroid hormone to maintain normal calcium levels in blood. Secondary hyperparathyroidism can also result from inadequate nutrition – for example, diets that are deficient in calcium or vitamin D, or which contain excessive phosphorus (e.g. all meat diets for carnivores). A prominent effect of secondary hyperparathyroidism is decalcification of bone, leading to pathologic fractures or “rubber bones”.

There is no doubt that chronic secretion or continuous infusion of parathyroid hormone leads to decalcification of bone and loss of bone mass. However, in certain situations, treatment with parathyroid hormone can actually stimulate an increase in bone mass and bone strength.

Analysis & Interpretation:

Another great resource I have used to learn more about the Parathyroid Hormone is the website Parathyroid.com. The thing is that one can stimulate calcium mineral deposits to break apart using the PTH. If you can extract enough calcium, the bones turn into “rubber” (or become very easy to fracture as well) which means that we can then probably stretch the bones.

I had already concluded in two previous, pivotal posts that the compound PTHrP (Parathyroid Hormone related Peptide) is most likely the key to induce the first step for adults with no cartilage to possibly dissolve the hard bone matrix for cartilage replacement using other growth factors with more chondrogenic effects. This post seems to put more anecdotal, but still weak evidence in showing that either PTH or PTHrP can be used for our ultimate goal of achieving bone lengthening after the cartilages completely disappear.

It seems that we have quite  a few ways to demineralize bone and give it just enough elastic properties to strength the bones.

I like to conclude this pivotal post with the link for how one can actually turn bone into rubber-like using vinegar for an elementary school science project.

There Is No Magic Bullet

When I sometimes lie on my bed late at night after writing as much as possible all the topics that pop up in my head, sometimes I try to imagine what my audience, the readers, YOU are thinking. I always go back to this fundamental question “What do they REALLY want?” …and I mean REALLY WANT.

If they were being completely honest with me, where all the bullshit is finally dropped and just told me the ugly cold truth to my face, what would they actually say? I was taking a shower about 30 minutes ago and I figured it out.

You want the “Magic Bullet”.

When I finished showering, I was amazed at just how stupid and ignorant I was that I did not see the issue earlier. It always was bugging me when I used to search for a method or path to my own secret desires to gain inches to my height. I never fully did find the solution I was looking. I realized that I had done the same thing. I wanted to believe in a “magic bullet”.

I don’t even know whether the concept of a magic bullet even exists in contemporary or everyday communication or psychology but the general concept of a “magic bullet” is that the magic bullet is basically a secret or “magical” solution to a very big problem in our lives that is causing us a lot of distress, anxiety, and mental pain. Years ago I had spent over a year learning the skills and techniques on how to attract and be more successful with the opposite sex. I remember that the term “magic bullet” was thrown around a lot and now I realize that the term can be used very appropriately for this situation too. During the time the axiom thrown around was that “there is no magic bullet” and I agreed.

However when it came down to this secret little wish inside of me, I guess I could not accept that idea. Now I understand myself far better now, but I think (or at least I hope) that I also understand the readers and audience better too.

I would assume that 90% of you who read this blog/website came here hoping to find some solution to your most vexing of problems, your desire to grow taller. Sure, there are those of you who came here by accident and thought my writing was funny and decided to spend around 3 minutes of their life reading this odd website in the middle of nowhere on the internet. However, I would bet that most of you got here from going to Google (or some other search engine) from typing something like “How to grow taller” or “How do I grow taller” into that empty input box.

Well, that is my theory of how you initially got here, how you originally found this website.

And you probably choose to click on the “Height Increase Guide” tab or the “Techniques” tab first to see what techniques there are to increase height. At this time, the “Height Increase Guide” has not even been edited or have anything on it yet. I of course will get to it hopefully within some time in the next 7 days.

Anyway, depending on your emotional state, you are actively searching. You want to find something. The fact that you even decided to go to the google main page and type something in means that you are “searching”.

So the obvious question to ask is “What are you searching for?” Again the answer is that you are searching for a magic bullet. This magial solution to your problem will be easy, simple, quick, and painless. That is what we all want.

This is the scenario that I am guessing you would like to happen. You come to this website, and you read on one of my articles that I am talking about this new FDA approved oral drug that is supposed to be able to stimulate the pituitary gland to release excess HGH and also be able to reopen back up your growth plates and turn all those close epiphyseal lines into cartilage again. Somehow through the magic of science and technology, the scientists and geneticists have gotten together in some hidden underground laboratory and come up with this new “magic pill”. They have given the licensing rights to a multinational pharmaceutical company who will market the pill and now it is in every Walgreens, CVS, and Right Aid in the country with a price tag of $15.99 for a pack of 4 pills. The instructions say that all you have to do is take 1 pill once every Monday morning and after 4 weeks, you will gain 3 inches.

So you go to your local pharmacy, shell out $16 for this drug that doe not EVEN need a damn prescription!! That’s how it is! You go home, chug it down with some water, and go back to your life of doing whatever you are doing, with no regard to a healthy lifestyle like proper exercise, heathy eating, or good sleeping habits. 3 days later you grow impatient and decide to measure yourself. You do and you find that you just grew half an inch! Damn, this shit works!! You jump up in joy, go to your rooftop and dance with giddiness. So you do the waiting, and you measure again the first week is over and you are up another half an inch. You are amazed that the pill actually works. You take the next one at the specified time, and you gain a little less than 1 inch of growth the 2nd week. After 4 weeks, you are indeed 3 inches taller, give or take a few milimeters. You are over joyed at your new body, with your new long legs, and even your arms and torso grew a little. when you go to the bathroom and strip down to look at your new body, you are amazed that the drug had extended your limbs and torso perfectly in proportion, and hell, you even look more muscular now… No stretch marks, no growing pains, no side effects.

You are super happy to go out to the mall and buy completely new pants and clothing becasue hey, you are now completely transformed. You then meet your friends and they are absolutely astounded that you have changed so much since they last saw you. All you do is smile, knowing your little secret. You now notice that cute guy you have been interested in for the last 6 months is giving you the “look” and with your new found confidence you walk up to him and start to flirt…can I end this story with a “and they lived happily ever after?”

Simple, clean, pain free, work free, no hassles. This is the dream, that magic bullet we are searching for. Of course, we all know that there is nothing like that. Hell, even with our weight issues, like trying to loss 20 lbs to fit into that damn dress for say your prom is a massive internal struggle as the internal desires and forces fight it over.  I mean if we can’t even control and master something a thousand times easier like our weight issues, how the hell are we supposed to master our height issues?

Again, there is no “magic bullet” solution. Life and things will never be that easy. For everything that is worth it in life, it requires a lot of damn work to obtain. Sometimes we do get lucky and something great just falls into our lap. Yes, it does happen, like if you were sitting in a coffee shop and a cute, charming, normal guy walks up to you, compliments you, does some flirting, and proceeds to get your number.

However, when it comes to something like our bodies, we are the only one’s that are responsible for it. If we want to shape it or do something to make it better, we have to do the hard work.

I am right now sitting in a coffee shop in the middle of the Gangnam-gu area in Seoul, South Korea. Every time I go into the subway system, I see these pictures that are ads by plastic surgery clinics offering their services. And they all promise that you do not have to “settle” or just “live with” the face or body you were born with.

Yeah, that’s right… not even your genetics and inborn DNA have any power over your life anymore since if you don’t like the way your nose or eyes look, you can just plop down $4000 clams and get that changed to whatever celebrity’s nose you would like. If you happened to have a eating problem and you are now over 250 lbs with flesh slipping out of your pants and shirt, now you can just go to that clinic by the Paris Baguette on the corner and in less than 4 hours, all the fat your have been eating and accumulating for the last 15 years are removed in an instant through liposuction. If you happened to be getting older and balding, they now have these plugs and implants you can get that basically act just like real hair. Well isn’t that just simple and easy. You didn’t have to do any work. If you happend to be getting wrinkles, just go for  quick touch up by getting poison (Botox) injected into your face until you don’t even look like a real human anymore.

TRUST ME, there are some people who I walk past everyday these days whose face are completely expressionless because they have injected so much poison in their face that they can’t even move it anymore. Super scary.

It indeed feels like we are living in a society where we are always wanting everything at this instant, and can not go without instant gratification. We have lost our ability to just wait and invest for the long term. The concept of hard work is gone since we now have all the technology to get everything we want. Have we become so mentally weak in terms of willpower and endurance ability? Can we still put up with any sort of slight pain or discomfort?

Well for this issue, our desire to increase our height, their is no magic bullet. Their is no painless easy, simple solution. Even the most obvious strategy which is to get surgery and do limb lengthening is filled with complications immense pain, and time and money lost. Maybe, just maybe for this one specific area in our life, we can not just throw money and technology at the problem and hope it goes away. We actually may find for the first itme in our life with a problem which we can’t seem to be to solve no matter what we do.

My whole point is this: There is no easy simple solution to this issue. It is time to sit down, roll up our sleeves, and get to work to find a solution. It may not appear for even say another 50 years but if you truly want this, if you truly believe in this endeavor, you are willing to put in the effort to stick it out to the end.
